Turbo Philosophy

The CSC Turbo seeks to create a mastery environment where player development is more important than measuring wins and losses. The three tenets of Turbo soccer are: have fun, work hard, and Finish! The Turbo emphasize building technically confident individuals working together in a team environment. The Turbo core values are commitment and respect: respect for the game, respect for each other, respect for their coaches, and respect for their opponents.

Coach's Bio:

Darryl Forrest-Head Coach. Darryl has been involved with soccer for over forty years. He started as a four year old in youth soccer in Colorado, won state championships in high school in Connecticut, played college soccer in Massachusetts and with various adult teams in Maryland. His experience is truly an American soccer experience. He recently turned his attention to coaching and holds a USSF E and F license. Darryl's core teaching philosophy is player centered where technical development is the primary focus. He believes strongly that the game is the best teacher. He's committed to creating a fun environment where kids have a chance to explore and become creative problem solvers. Darryl's passion for the game -a passion he continually conveys to the kids on the Turbo- is manifested in teaching the game as a volunteer. He is not a paid coach. As a fan his favorite professional teams are Manchester United, DC United, and the US National Team. Darryl watches ten to fifteen matches per week spanning several continents and competitions in his thirst to learn more about the game. As a volunteer he works in the role as Facilities Coordinator for the Chantilly Soccer Club. In what time is left during the week, Darryl spends with his family.
